Diversity brings out sustainable beauty

To achieve sustainable development, we must create opportunities for the beauty of diversity to flourish. Demographic diversity leads to a diverse workforce with leadership, expertise, and networks that drive key economic sectors. GREAT provides equal opportunities for women in the Northwest region, especially those with disabilities, to unleash their potential in a context where they are provided with policies that are culturally appropriate.

Inheriting the project's spirit of honoring diversity, RIO associates with the image of layered mountains to create stylized overlapping sections in the new identity. Each layer of soil represents a unique story of the diversity of nature and people. Just as layers of soil accumulate to form towering mountains, cultural and lifestyle diversity will create a strong, resilient community.

Equality means that all values are respected.

Ethnic minority women are not only beneficiaries but also active agents in shaping their own futures. They are powerful seeds, ready to grow and shine.

GREAT, as a companion, opens up opportunities for ethnic minority women who are constrained by societal norms and traditional market practices, allowing them to enter the labor market on an equal footing and enjoy their rightful benefits.

We have materialized this abstract concept through a symmetrical composition featuring two ethnic minority women from the project's provinces of Son La and Lao Cai. GREAT has connected them into a united community where all values are respected, and every individual has the opportunity to maximize their potential.

A Harmonious Picture: Equality, Equity, and Diversity

The visual identity in the field of gender equality is a harmonious blend of three core values: Equality, equity, and diversity. Every detail in this picture is carefully calibrated to tell GREAT's story of promoting gender equality to its target audience.

Design for everyone

A significant innovation introduced by RIO and GREAT in this project is the open design system on Canva, enabling all project members to access design resources and independently develop communication materials.

Instead of relying on Adobe platforms, which are more familiar to professional designers, transferring design elements to Canva makes design accessible to a wider audience and ensures long-term reusability. As a result, individuals without extensive design expertise, such as communication officers or professional designers, can create, edit, and reuse visual materials to produce derivative designs, as long as they have a basic understanding of design principles such as arranging images harmoniously and selecting appropriate colors for the ongoing campaign.

This innovation ensures that communication design not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also contributes to the project's sustainability.
